Maya Angelou typed quotation signed from Caged Bird
Description
TQS on an off-white 8.5 x 11 sheet that contains the third stanza of Maya Angelou's iconic poem Caged Bird, signed in black ink, "Joy! Maya Angelou," who above adds an inscription to "Robert," which could be easily matted out if so desired. The stanza reads: "The caged bird sings / with a fearful trill / of things unknown / but longed for still / and his tune is heard / on the distant hill / for the caged bird sings of freedom."
